So, this is my first blog, and it just so hapens I have the perfect subject to write about. Ya know how when your starting a blog you're like... "WTF do I write about? Ugh!"? Yea, not the case this time. For once! So here's my story...

 

On June 24 my roommate and I woke up at 4:30am after 2 1/2 hours of nap ( I would say sleep but it's not really what it was) to drive 20 minutes to Disneyland. We were determined to get good spots to see the red carpet of the POTC 2 premiere. We run just a tad late, not thinking it will be a big deal, I mean it's 4:45 am right? Who's gonna be crazy enough to be there as early as us? Apparantly the world is full of nuts like us, because we get there and there are seas and oceans of people waiting to get into Disneyland, and half of them didn't even know about the premiere!

So we get into the purse-check line and after that line there are two MORE lines to go through, just to get to the gate. Ugh. At this point, I'm very cranky. I'm tired, I'm carrying 3 heavy bags of our crap, and NOW it might be all for nothing cuz it doesn't look like we getting anywhere NEAR the red carpet with all these people ahead of us. And the worst part? It's all our own stinking fault, because we were supposed to get up earlier, but we wanted to sleep in an extra 15 minutes. 15 minutes could have made a huge difference in hindsight, but whatever.

Right as I'm about to cry, Chrissy (roommate) gets an idea. She knows her little sister is supposed to be there, and she was also supposed to get there early, so she calls her cell phone. Turns out, her sister was in the FRONT of one of the four lines to get in! Oh my, this could all work out! Chrissy tells her were coming to say hi, but her sister said she couldn't get us in with her cuz it was too risky... HA! Yea right I'm going in with her. So we get to the front of the line and Just as we get there it turns 6:00am, and the gates open to let people in... No one seems to notice or care that we jumped ahead so we just follow the flow into the park, and run as fast as we can to the red carpet. I couldn't believe our luck... the red carpet gods must have been smiling down on us that day!

So we find our spot, stratigically across from  the  press (see, if they walk by with the press RIGHT there, they are less inclined to say no to a picture or an autograph... ), and camp out to wait approx. 12 hours. No joke.

As more people file in, some stay and some leave to find better spots, but we were rooted at the spot. No way were we leaving. This guy next to us had ALL the POTC action figures AND a Legolas doll, to I moved over 2 inches to see them. While I was looking at them these two nasty old ladies move into my spot! My roommate was like "Sorry, she's in that spot" and one of them said, and I QUOTE "Well, I'm here now, sorry! Real life is not first come first serve."

Oh hell no. 

So I move BACK into my spot and move them over... leaving them with absolutely no room at all, and they consequently left. I really hoped I did not have to spend my premiere day with them. But in there place we got two friendly girls and behind us the BEST people we could have asked for. Two older couples who shared thier snacks with us and loaned us their portable fan.   The weather was horrific... sticky humid HOT air all around us, but no sun. 

So were sitting there and the hours are slowly trickling by... we pass the time by talking about Johnny and Orlando, (two of my FAVORITE subjects) reading magazines, playing hangman, and occasionally getting up and walking around... something I didn't do often for fear of another old lady incident... but here are SOME pics from early in the day...

Ok, by 6pm people were starting to file down the carpet and we got some awesome pics with people like Daisy Fuentes, Jeremy London, Channing Tatum (MY he's tasty), Jennifer Love Hewitt, yadda yadda. Here are some more pics

Ok so at this point it's getting later (around 8) and things are moving quite smoothly now... The craziness sets in as more and more famous people grace the red carpet... there were alot of other stars too, most of them younger from shows like "Suite life of Zack and Kody" and "Hannah Montana". I had no interest in pictures with them. My roommate got some though. Anyway, Things are getting louder and more hectic and then as about 8:30 rolls around... we see her.

There's no way I was leaving without a picture with her...

  

I can't believe she's the same age as me and has had sooo much luck! I mean, she kisses Orlando AND Johnny! But I still love her, haha.

 

After Kiera I KNOW Orlando and Johnny are not far behind... and then in the distance we hear loud screams from the carpet entrance. Who is it?

AHHHHHH ORLANDO!!!!!!!! I'm freakin out! He signed a few autographs and then went across to talk to press before he got to us... Well, that was just unacceptable. Everyone started chanting his name "OR-LAN-DO! OR-LAN-DO!

OR-LAN-DO!" Until he came back and then we begged and I mean BEGGED him to take a picture with us but he started walking away so we begged even louder and he looked at me and Chrissy, all decked out in our Pirate Hooker gear, and he came back! HE. CAME. BACK!

 And we got this.

 

*sigh*... I don't think it gets much better. Do you have any idea how much I wanted to lick his face here? Damn, boo for missed opportunities! Haha...

So that's about it for my day... Johnny came by but we only got a picture OF him... they had to take him off the carpet cuz everyone was going NUTZ! Can you blame them?? Lol... Maybe next time I'll meet him too! I'd definitely do that again. Not bad for my first time ever at Disneyland huh?? Here are some pics on our way out
